Comedian Steve Treviño is one of today’s most relatable stand-up voices, widely known as “America’s Favorite Husband.” He speaks wife fluently, avoids home projects at all costs, and understands that decision-making is a privilege reserved for his wife, Renae.
With sharp, authentic observations about marriage, parenting, and everyday life, Steve has built a massive and loyal following. His comedy has generated hundreds of millions of views online , and he has amassed millions of followers across social media platforms . Steve consistently sells out theaters internationally, connecting with audiences through humor that feels both personal and universal.
Steve has released multiple stand-up specials across Netflix, Amazon, and Showtime . His first Showtime special, Grandpa Joe’s Son , debuted in the Nielsen Top 20 . He followed that success by self-funding and producing his Netflix hit Relatable , which launched global viral fan-favorite clips such as “When Your Wife Comes Home From Shopping” and “When You Ask Your Wife If She Wants McDonald’s,” each garnering tens of millions of views.
In 2018, Treviño released Steve Treviño ’Til Death on Amazon, followed by the independently produced I Speak Wife in 2022, which earned millions of views on YouTube and further cemented his connection with fans.
In March 2024, Steve released his Netflix special Steve Treviño: Simple Man , filmed live at the Tobin Center in San Antonio and directed by Renae Treviño. The special debuted as the #2 title on Netflix’s Top 10 , and went on to become one of Netflix’s highest-performing stand-up comedy specials of 2024 . In Simple Man , Steve reflects on marriage, family life, raising kids, and his upbringing — all through the lens of a husband, father, and son doing the best he can.
Steve and Renae also co-host the popular weekly podcast Steve Treviño and Captain Evil , where they candidly discuss relationships, family, and comedy while trying to stay married. The podcast has generated millions of downloads and views since its launch. Beyond the stage, Steve is a passionate supporter of veterans and regularly raises funds for Helicopters for Heroes , helping raise over a million dollars for wounded veterans and their families.
